Lansing, MI – State Senator Joseph Bellino applauded a $202,000 state grant to help remove the deteriorating Macon Creek Dam in Dundee Township.
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s Dam Safety Unit announced $14.1 million in grant awards for 22 Michigan dams through the Dam Risk Reduction Grant Program, which was created by the Legislature in 2022.
This grant program aims to provide private owners with resources for proper management of existing dams and reduce the overall risk of dam failure in Michigan.
